According to a new ranking by online comparison service Money.co.uk, Copenhagen is among the world’s most luxurious cities per km².
The ranking, which investigated the number of 5-star hotels, Michelin-star restaurants and designer stores in cities this month, had Copenhagen 19th overall.
The Danish capital was estimated to have 0.86 luxury venues per square km out of a city area of 88.25 km².

European cities dominated the list with 12 out of the top 20, led by Paris (5.98 luxury venues per km²) with its 427 Michelin-star restaurants, 108 designer stories from the world’s ten biggest luxury designers and 95 hotels with a 5-star rating.
Phuket came in second, followed by Brussels, Geneva and Cannes, while Lyon, Kilkenny, Athens, New Delhi and Dubrovnik rounded out the top 10.
Manila, Chiang Mai, Barcelona, San Francisco, Macau, Osaka, Oban, Bordeaux, Copenhagen and Washington DC completed the top 20 (see in table below).
