UPDATE: Body at Nordhavn Station identified as missing man

Police have been present near Nordhavn Station following the discovery of a deceased person in bushes near the rail tracks earlier today

The deceased body discovered in bushes near the rail track by Nordhavn Station today has been identified.

Police confirmed that it belonged to the 22-year-old man who had been missing since getting off the Metro at nearby Orientkaj Station early Sunday morning.

The police wrote on Twitter that they believe a tragic accident occurred leading the young man to be being hit by a train.

The discovery of the body today has caused major disruptions on Copenhagen’s S-train network today and as of 17:00 several lines were still experiencing significant delays.

Big delays on S-trains in Copenhagen

National rail operator DSB has announced significant delays on several of its S-train lines in Copenhagen.

The delays are down to a deceased person being discovered in some bushes near the rail tracks by Nordhavn Station and police are on the scene investigating.

Passengers can expect delays on S-train lines A, B, C and E until about 15:00.

Line Bx has been cancelled this afternoon.

It is not yet known whether the deceased individual is the 22-year-old man who went missing early Sunday morning and who was last seen getting off the Metro at nearby Orientkaj Station.
