LEGO to expand with large new office in central Copenhagen

The Danish toy manufacturer LEGO will open a new office complex in central Copenhagen in 2027 to accommodate 1,500 employees. CEO of the LEGO Group Niels Christiansen said that establishing operations in the Danish capital would help to attract “world-class talent” to the company.

The Danish toy manufacturer LEGO will open a large new office complex in central Copenhagen in 2027, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

The offices will be in a nine-storey high, 30,000 square-meter property called called ‘The Stamp’ currently under development in Postbyen near Copenhagen Central Station. Once complete, it will accommodate 1,500 LEGO employees.

The “new Hub”, as LEGO called the Copenhagen office, will complement two planned campuses that will be established near the company’s existing headquarters in Billund, where LEGO’s activities have traditionally been focused, and where the company has its roots.

CEO of the LEGO Group Niels Christiansen said that establishing operations in the Danish capital would help to attract “world-class talent” to the company.

“It is important for the LEGO Group to have inspiring workplaces in the best locations to continue to attract the right talent.”

“With great access to the Capital and Øresund regions, the new Copenhagen Hub enables us to attract world-class talent to two fantastic locations in Denmark.”

The LEGO Group currently has one office on Østergade in Copenhagen, with another scheduled to open on Løvstræde in September 2024, accommodating a total around 650 colleagues who will be moved to the new Hub once it opens.

LEGO currently has a total of 6,200 employees in Denmark, 5,900 of whom are based in Billund.
