FC Midtjylland closer to promotion in Europa League

Midtjylland was under pressure but secured a crucial result by winning 2 – 0 in Bulgaria against the reigning Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Plovdiv.

The victory was secured by a goal in each half and put the team from Herning to a total of 10 points before the last group round.

FC Midtjylland will play Fenerbahce, currently headed by Portuguese José Mourinho, who will visit Herning in the final group round.

After yesterday’s win, FC Midtjylland progressed to rank 19 in the Europa League, and the best 24 teams will be promoted to the knockout stage.
