According to the vacation rental search engine HomeToGo, Copenhagen is among the top trending LGBT destinations this year for the annual Pride festival.
In HomeToGo’s ‘Top 50 Trending Pride Destinations’ ranking, the Danish capital came in 23rd overall, making it the highest-ranking Nordic city on the list.
The ranking (here in English) is based on HomeToGo’s own data as well as the number of LGBT events on offer throughout the year, the LGBT-friendliness of locals, the availability of affordable, LGBT-friendly accommodation, and the number of LGBT bars, clubs and parties.
Copenhagen scored particularly high on the ‘Growth Score’ and ‘LGBT-Friendly Score’, but suffered low marks on the ‘Accommodation Score’, probably due to its high cost of accommodation in the city.
“Each year, people from all over the world travel to celebrate Pride. Often, the biggest celebrations in New York or London come to mind first, yet there are so many amazing Pride destinations offering visitors a unique and unforgettable experience, said head of inbound marketing, Joanna Booth.
