This is no gulp fiction: Copenhagen has Europe’s answer to Big Kahuna

Big 7 Travel’s acclaims Gasoline Grill’s burger as the best in the continent

A wise man once said: “Hamburgers. The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.” Later that day he had a moment of enlightenment and retired from being a hitman, just hours before his partner ended up getting killed on the john.

But enough with the spoilers: there’s plenty of those at McDonald’s and Burger King.

For the best “Mm-hmm! This is a tasty burger!” experience in Europe, look no further than our very own Gasoline Grill in Copenhagen.

With seven outlets in the capital region and counting, it’s quickly become the nation’s favourite.

Epic levels of tastiness
So it’s no surprise to see that Big 7 Travel has named it as the producer of the best burger in Europe.

“These guys are winning awards left, right and centre for their burgers around the world, and it’s not hard to see why. Epic levels of tastiness,” praised Big 7.

“The burgers are handground in-house daily, with crinkle fries golden and crispy and organic ingredients. Don’t let the line outside put you off – it moves quick, and these burgers are worth the wait.”

Completing the top five were Goiko Grill (Valencia), Burger And Beyond (London), 7Bone Burger Co (Portsmouth, UK) and VLND Burger (Tallinn, Estonia).

Odense and Aarhus earn some relish
Two other Danish establishments squeezed their way into the top 50.

At number 23 was Burger Anarchy in Odense, which Big 7 praised for its innovation and unusual ingredients.

“There’s wild boar meat with spices, palm of heart, and Applewood cheddar. But for a burger you’ll need to really tackle, order the Burgernator: it’s a huge 720g of beef with bacon, smoked cheddar and all the trimmings,” it noted.

And at number 27 was The Burger Shack in Aarhus, which Big 7 claimed “offers a unique taste experience with their tasty and award-winning burgers, parmesan and thyme French fries and their deep-fried chicken”.

The “simply delicious” burgers, meanwhile, are “made from scratch with fresh ingredients, Danish free-range cattle and home-baked buns”.
