Today is Store Bededag – read the history behind the revoked national holiday

Having been abolished after more than 300 years as a national holiday, Store Bededag will be a normal working day this year. The holiday historically took place on the fourth Friday after Easter, as an occasion to reflect on transgressions and be grateful.
