Connect Club visited the beautiful town hall in Copenhagen

On Thursday, it was time yet again for an event in Copenhagen Post’s Connect Club.

This time there was a presentation by Culture and Leisure Mayor Mia Nyegaard, followed by a tour of the classic town hall in the heart of Copenhagen.

Mia Nyegaard welcomed and answered questions from the many internationals who had come. She is one of seven mayors in Denmark’s capital and has lived in the city since 1996.

Nyegaard hopes that the conditions to live and work as an international in Denmark will become easier. But her party, Radikale Venstre, does not have a majority for that approach.

After the meeting with the mayor, the group was shown around the town hall, where many internationals get married every year. Also on this day, when several brides and grooms waited in the aisles.

The tour ended at the top of the roof, where there was a spectacular view over the Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). A view you won’t get on an ordinary tour.

Events with Connect Club are now taking a summer break – we will be back again in the autumn.
