11 Oct: Experiential photo exhibition ‘World Unseen’

In collaboration with The Danish Association of the Blind and Canon Danmark join this striking exhibition designed for the blind or partially sighted, in which images are supported by elevated print, audio descriptions, sound images and braille to create a tactile experience so visitors can see, listen to and touch powerful images by renowned photographers and the stories they tell.

In collaboration with The Danish Association of the Blind and Canon Danmark we are glad to invite you to World Unseen – a photo exhibition created for everyone; blind, partially sighted and sighted.

The photo exhibition invites visitors – blind, partially sighted and sighted – to experience photography in a new, accessible and immersive way.

The exhibition is designed for the blind or partially sighted and features a range of photographs taken by world-renowned photographers. The images are supported by elevated print, audio descriptions, sound images and braille to create a tactile experience so visitors can see, listen to and touch these powerful images and the stories they tell.

The exhibition features works by world-renowned photographers and Canon ambassadors from around the world, including award-winning South African photojournalist Brent Stirton, acclaimed Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Salgado, Nigerian photojournalist Yagazie Emezi, sports photographer Samo Vidic, fashion photographer Heidi Rondak and Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Muhammed Muheisen.

A personal story: A special part of the exhibition is with Jesper Bentil Holten from the Danish Association of the Blind, responsible for culture and leisure policy, who shares his personal experience of being blind, through a portrait taken by the award-winning photojournalist Nanna Navntoft.
