September Art: All hail the female Andy Warhol

One of Louisiana’s favourite guests – Japanese artist Yahoi Kusama, who is often hailed as the female Andy Warhol – is returning with an amazing presentation of her life’s work, including never exhibited pieces.

The giant exhibition will feature her early watercolours and pastels, sculptures, video installations and political happenings.

The most anticipated collection is Gleaming Lights of Soul, which includes a new series of paintings solely created for the exhibition.

Louisiana promises an intimate insight into her love of design and fashion. (LK)

The Swedish artist Kent Klich has created an intense and touching photo exhibition in co-operation with Amnesty International that deals with life in Gaza in the aftermath of the 2014 bombings. This is definitely worth seeing. (LK)

An exhibition featuring the work of Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen, (the wife of the composer), who was Denmark’s most groundbreaking female sculptor. It mainly features her animal sculptures, which are incredibly realistic. (LK)
