Police on Funen yesterday confiscated 600 cannabis plants at two greenhouses near Odense following a tip-off.
A 32-year-old man, who was present in one of the greenhouses at the time of the police raid, was taken into custody.
“We are talking about the considerable production of skunk plants,” Lars Fredensborg, the duty officer, said according to DR Nyheder. “600 plants in two greenhouses is quite significant.”

Electricity theft
Skunk is a particularly potent form of cannabis that has a higher content of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects – than standard cannabis.
The cultivation of skunk tends to require artificial light that needs a lot of electricity, and it’s common for the cultivators to tap power illegally, which was also the case yesterday.
