Copenhagen’s first vintage fair on the way

The 20th century is coming back to life on a Copenhagen Sunday in March

Copenhagen will host its first vintage fair at Absalon on Sønder Boulevard on Sunday, March 13.

The Copenhagen Vintage Fair is a small, exclusive exhibition of vintage clothing and accessories from 1920 to 1969 which will include carefully selected dresses, hats, coats, jewellery, shoes and more from 50 years of what the organiser, vintage fashionista Pia Storm, is calling the 20th century’s “fascinating fashion history”.

Many of Denmark’s and Sweden’s best vintage shops and private collectors will be among the 17 stands that will be displaying the best of vintage merchandise.

Similar fairs have been long-time favourites in London, New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm and Malmö. Storm said that the day will be both “fun and inspiring”.

Attendance is free and there will be coffee and cake on hand – hopefully fresh, not vintage.
