World media freaked out by Aarhus free fall drop ride

Thrillseekers may not pick Aarhus as their number one destination, but that's only because they haven't given Tivoli Friheden's Sky Tower a try.

Imagine plunging from the top of a 40 meter high tower into a net 30 meters below with no rope. During the ride you experience 4G sensations as your free-falling body  hits 90 kilometres per hour.

The ride is one of a number of SCAD towers located in theme parks around the world.

'Splatterhorn' ride going viral
A video of the ride has already become a viral Youtube hit with more than 2 million views, and the ride has frightened international media like Daily Mail, Daily Star and The Huffington Post, who reported that SCAD towers have been used to simulate near-death experiences.

On Tuesday it was featured on the US TV show @Midnight on Comedy Central, when comedian Weird Al Yankovic called it 'Splatterhorn' and Reggie Watts named it 'The Shitmaker'.
