The Danish chain of coffee shops Baresso has announced plans to open 30 new coffee bars in the next three years.
The chain will almost double the number of its cafes thanks to a financial boost from a new owner, the German investment firm Jab Holding.
Already this year, Baresso, which currently runs 35 coffee bars, plans to open 11-13 new cafes both in big cities and small towns across Denmark.
In 2015, Baresso increased its revenue by 10 percent, but ended with a loss of 4.6 million kroner due to the costs associated with the company’s sale.
Jab Holding also owns the Swedish coffee shop chain Espresso House – a chain of 200 cafes in Sweden, Norway and Finland that will open its first in Denmark this spring at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen.
