Stabbing victim from Vejle refuses to co-operate with Funen Police

Gang activity could be behind violence

Funen Police are examining a possible link between the murder of a gang member from Vejle and a stabbing in the Vollsmose district in Odense. The Vollsmose area is notorious for gang-related violence.

A 22-year-old man who was stabbed with a knife in Odense is not co-operating with the police looking for his assailant. The 22-year-old, who is in a stable condition, did not contact police to report that he had been assaulted. Other witnesses called the authorities.

Cross-bridge violence
Police say that the 22-year-old man who lives in Vejle has links to the Black Army gang in Herning and would not rule out that the attack may be linked to the killing of a 31-year-old Black Army member in Vejle a week ago.

“Right now we are investigating all possibilities,” said Jens Langdal from  Funen Police. “It is too early to draw any conclusions.”
