Prinsessegade, which runs past the main entrance to Christiania, was cordoned off for about an hour, but is now open to traffic again.

According to police spokesperson Henrik Brix, nothing suggests the shooting was part of any gang conflict.

The police are looking for witnesses and searching the area with dogs.

In late August, two policemen and a bystander were hit by gunfire on Pusher Street during a routine arrest, and since then, the police has been monitoring Christiania more vigilantly.
