Lose yourself in Piedmont pleasures at the renowned Barolo wine-tasting event

Miss the Barolo & Friends Event on June 9 at your peril, oenophiles

In days gone by, the good city slickers of Copenhagen would congregate at Børsen to whine about the price of production.

Today, the old stock exchange is more likely to be home to a gathering of consumers and producers discussing the merits and prices of wine.

Back again by popular demand, wine lovers will be taking over the former centre of commerce on June 9 with a view to making an acquisition or two at the well-established Barolo & Friends event.

Two hours of Italian indulgence
Some 40 wine producers, brought to the event by organiser I Vini del Piemonte from the Italian region of Piedmont, are expected to attend both sessions, which start at 16:00 and 18:45 and last just over two hours each.

Visitors are presented with a tasting glass at the entrance and then invited to sample as many of the Barolo and other wines from Piedmont as they choose, served together with a range of Italian delicacies.

Piedmont is one of Denmark’s favourite regions, both with wine lovers and tourists thanks to the stunning vineyard landscapes of World Heritage Sites like Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.
