Pay hike for top bosses and board members at big Danish companies

Senior managers at blue chip C20 companies earn on average 12.6 million kroner

According to a study by the accountancy firm PwC, bosses and board members at big Danish companies have received a significant pay rise this year, Jyllands-Posten reports.

This year the average remuneration for board members at the blue chip C20 companies increased by 8 percent to 628,000 kroner.

“Besides just one company, all of them have either maintained or increased their remuneration,” the report stated.

What’s more, at those companies where the chairman’s remuneration was reported separately, it was three times as much as other board members: 1.28 million kroner on average.

Meanwhile, members of the senior management team at C20 companies picked up on average 10 percent more than last year, with an average remuneration of 12.6 million kroner.
