Bhattacarya plays a stringed instrument known as a sarod – a lute-shaped, stringed sitar-like instrument known for its ability to create an introspective sound.

Banerjee performs on traditional table drums. Over a career that has spanned almost 20 years, he has performed alongside some of the most influential musicians in south Asia: Ravi Shankar, Begum Parveen Sultana and Pt Jasraj.
