Presenting the rock of Gibraltar

As well as being considered Gibraltar’s biggest ever pop star, the London-born singer-songwriter is frequently cited as being one of the most underrated singer-songwriters of his generation.

He began life as the frontman of a small act known as the Diamond Boys.

Together with the band, he spent the early 1960s touring Spain and his adopted home.

Collaborating with songwriter Hal David and his label Epic Records, Hammond topped a number of the international pop charts during the 1970s.
