Major traffic accident near Køge

Police warn of extremely slippery road conditions

Ten cars were involved in a major traffic accident that took place today before noon on the E47 motorway between Herfølge and Lellinge in eastern Zealand, reports TV2.

No casualties have been reported.

The road was blocked for about 45 minutes, but should be passable now.

The police warns the road is icy and slippery.

Cyclist hit by lorry
Meanwhile, a cyclist has been hit by a lorry in a right-turn accident on Kalkbrænderihavnsgade in Copenhagen.

He has been transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

The police have blocked off the busy road in the northbound direction.

UPDATE: The 23-year-old cyclist died Tuesday afternoon at Rigshospital as a result of his injuries.
