After labouring through the long and gloomy winters, Scandinavians cheer up in the long summer evenings by heading to festivals or any other sort of outdoor celebration.

In Sweden, Midsummer is considered the wildest party of the year.

Today, Danes celebrate their version with Sankt Hans, congregating at beaches and fields across the country to cheer on the longest day of the year with campfires and cold beer.
