Popcorn and penalties at the Parkeringhus penthouse – Vesterbro’s latest skyline attraction

DGI Byens Arena will offer rooftop mini football

The footy withdrawal season is nearly upon us, but don’t worry: there’s a cure!

Dig out your kit and head down to DGI Byens Parkeringhus in Vesterbro to make use of one of the three new artificial mini-football pitches.

‘DGI Byens Arena’, which can be found spread across a 600 sqm rooftop area in Kødbyen, combines greenery with the capital’s love of football.

Backed by Copenhagen Municipality
The courts have been created by a collaboration involving Copenhagen Municipality, Brobold and various football clubs in Østerbro, Nørrebro, and Vesterbro.

The owners are hopeful many will enjoy playing the beautiful game with views of the equally pretty Copenhagen skyline, which from Kødbyen includes Tivoli, City Hall and the new IKEA near Fisketorvet.

So why not book a court and kick off your own summer football season.
