Attempted burglary at Louisiana overnight

One of the bungling burglars should have already been deported

There was an attempted burglary at the renowned Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk north of Copenhagen overnight.

Not only did the thieves fail to escape with any valuables, they were promptly arrested.

Three suspects, already known to the police, were arrested.

“One was arrested last year for a similar crime and should have been deported, but he is still in the country,” Søren Bjørnestad from North Zealand Police told BT.

Doomed from the start
Bjørnestad said that any attempt to rob the world-famous art museum was almost doomed to fail.

“Louisiana is not a place to break into,” he said. “There are eyes and ears everywhere.”

Alarms drew police to the museum at about 1:30 this morning, where they found the three burglars hiding in an office.

“They broke into the office through a window, but had not made it into the exhibition area,” said Bjørnestad.

The three persons arrested are 17, 15 and 24 years old.
