Santas from around the world meet in Denmark

Ho, ho, ho! Are you ready for some Christmas cheer?

Santas from around the world have once again gathered in Denmark for the annual World Santa Claus Congress.

Some have travelled from as far as China and Japan.

The three-day event is traditionally held in Bakken, the world’s oldest operating amusement park, located just 15 kilometres north of Copenhagen.

The congress hosts a range of activities including parades, a Christmas in July show and a battle competition.

The official program ends this evening but some activities will continue until Friday.

The World Santa Claus Congress dates back to 1957 when Bakken’s legendary entertainer Professor Tribini decided to invite Santas from around the globe for a summer fest.
