Int Women’s Day On International Women’s Day the city is filled with events to celebrate and emphasise women’s rights.

Ethnic women’s rights This particular one focuses on ethnic women and their influence on the media and right to vote in Denmark. Visit the exhibition ‘Vote from Kringlebakken’ and enjoy a concert by the international choir ‘The world’s Sirens’, which consists of 30 women from 20 different nations.

Demonstration for equal rights A demo for equal salary, legal abortion, better maternity conditions and laws on equal representation in councils and committees. The day includes speeches (in Danish), music and hot drinks.

No to prostitution and women trafficking  This demonstration at City Hall Square against prostitution and women trafficking includes speeches and music as well as the demonstration.
Hannah Schneider provides the musical entertainment. Afterwards, the speeches and music continue at the nice surroundings in Huset i Magstræde, where you can get a nice bowl of hot soup as well. Beer tasting for women This event is more aimed at the laid-back feminist or simply just beer enthusiasts. The event includes a tour of the brewery, a lecture from brew master Birthe Skands from the Brewery Skands, and a three-course meal.
