Select Shopping | Elmegade

No Freddy Krueger on this Elm street, but there are fashionable clothes to die for. So if you want to be hipster cool (as we all do), take a strut down this fashion-packed street in the heart of Nørrebro.

Goggle – If you Google this Goggle you’ll find that there are no less than three shops on Elmegade – and they’re all packed with urban chic apparel. Goggle and Goggle Prim are clothing stores selling some of the coolest brands for both men and women, like Won hundred, NN.07, Acne and Cheap Monday. There’s a good vibe at the stores and always a friendly service. The +21 shoe shop was the third and last member to join the empire in 2008, with progressive shoes for people who like individuality with a small difference.

Remö – Another cosy place to shoe shop is at Remö, which is conveniently situated right next to the first of the Goggle shops. Here you will find a big selection of shoes for women, but also some for men with brands like Konrad, Hunter, Mentor, Billi Bi and Deefeeter and many others. It’s a small but pleasant heaven for your feet, where self-control might be needed to not overdo it.

Radical Zoo – Other than their very own brand, you can find brands that aren’t sold elsewhere in the country. There are clothes to be found for both men and women with brands including Creep, The Local Firm, Wings+ Horns and American Vintage and jewellery from RebekkaRebekka and Erbs & Bjerke. The shop’s overall aim is to offer clothing and accessories that don’t look like everything else, but with a focus on high quality and unique designs.

Elmegade 19, Cph N; open Mon-Fri 11:00-18:00, Sat 11:00-16:00; 3214 1208; www.facebook.com/radicalzoo

Acne Archive – If you like the minimalistic Swedish brand Acne, but you think it’s a bit pricey, this is the place to go as you can find past collections, show pieces, accessories and second-hand pieces for a lot less than the regular prices. According to the founder, Jonny Johansson, the Acne Archive is an environmentally friendly initiative and way for the brand to accommodate buyers’ wishes for old pieces, and also a way to clear out old collections.
