International Sand Sculpture Festival
This Friday marks the official start of this year’s sand sculpture festival, one of the largest and most spectacular sand sculpture events in northern Europe. This year’s theme is ‘Myths and Legends’ and will include a long maze that takes guests through a journey of Icelandic Legends and Greek Myths. Afterwards, children are welcome to create their own sand sculptures.

Hitparaden
The first festival in a series of annual international festivals of performance art in Copenhagen, Hitparaden is sure to introduce a variety of eclectic and new artists. Gumball 3000 15th Anniversary Rally
Start your engines as the 15th anniversary of Gumball 3000 starts this weekend! Each year, this 3,000-mile rally from Copenhagen to Monaco attracts car enthusiasts from around the world. Saturday will start off the anniversary with over 100 cars on display, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bentleys and Rolls Royces. The following night will be a VIP launch event at the Copenhagen Opera House featuring Grammy award-winning rapper EVE, and the unveiling for two spectacular new cars. The next morning, David Hasselhoff will wave the flag and officially commence the 3000-mile road trip to Monte Carlo.

SC Interpretive Dances to Bach’s Goldberg Variations

Dancing’s Magic and Limits
This week, discover the body’s limits while dancing. One man will magically balance a glass of water, another experiments with the space and limits of physical pain, and two others will discover what it means to dance, and to dance with another.
