This ArtRebels show is centered on the theme of swimming. 

The artists range in style from hyper-coloured geometric graffiti art to pastel watercolor illustrations and from stark Magic Marker-like designs to disproportionate sculptures, so the wide range of aesthetics at play is sure to make for a visually stimulating group exhibition.

Featuring the work of Mina Hamada (Barcelona), Monica Ramos (Brooklyn), Jordy van den Nieuwendijk (The Hague) and Nadav Weisman (Tel Aviv).

Circus: Circus Museum, Hovedporten 6, Hvidovre; April 13-20; 50kr, kids free adm 

Jugglers, clowns, trapeze swingers, tightropes, and magicians. What more could kids want? 

Experts will help children learn how to perform the tricks that amaze them. 

On April 19, the museum will celebrate World Circus Day with a special appearance from Jody the Clown. Kids will enjoy her amusing antics – you’ll enjoy the day’s free admission. 

Be sure to explore the exhibits – thousands of vintage circus artefacts, props, costumes and photos are guaranteed to educate, entertain and intrigue you.

Signe Wenneberg, a journalist who focuses on green consumption, sustainable construction and food, will be hosting this workshop to introduce children to the principles of sustainability. Seed bombs will be thrown.

Together Henrik Schwiecker and  Jaques Darville form Darville Duo, ardent musicians in the blues tradition whose palette draws from influences within blues rock and rock ‘n’ roll.

Modern art continues to blossom on the Faroe Islands. This exhibition is dedicated to peculiar, humorous and sometimes highly provocative works by the master of contemporary Faroese surrealism, Edward Fuglø.

Kids can learn about historical heroes at the Museum of National History. In relation to their exhibit about the War of 1864, children will learn about historical characters and examine what it means to be a hero.

Event: Queen’s Birthday, Marselisborg castle, Aarhus; April 16, 12:00  

On the ocassion of her 74th birthday, Queen Margrete II and her family will come out onto the royal balcony at noon. Only not in Copenhagen as we reported a few weeks ago. Sorry, but she’s in Jutland.
