Hot and humid weather this week

The sun will take over and heat up the beaches after a few rainy days

The weather this week looks wet at first, but it’s going to get better, promises the national weather institute, DMI.

Monday and Tuesday will see occasional showers and a chance of thunder across the country.

DMI warns that it is especially in the southwestern part of Denmark where people will have to arm themselves with umbrellas and wellies.

But the heat will eventually out-battle the cold fronts and stay at 25 degrees and above for the rest of the week.

The temperature will be a little warmer in the east than the west. 

Giving way to sun
By Wednesday and Thursday, the rain will have all but dissipated, giving  the beaches a chance to really heat up. There will be a lot of sunshine and temperatures may reach 27 degrees in some places.

The hot period is going to last until at least the end of the week, although there will be a number of scattered, short showers on Saturday and Sunday.
