Coming to Republique in mid-September is ‘Heart of Darkness’, a visually-strong play adapted from Joseph Conrad’s famous novel.
The drama, which will be performed in English by Enrique Vargas’s Teatro de los Sentidos, explores Marlow’s trip up the Congo River in search of Kurtz and ultimately into darkness.
Vargas and his company cleverly intertwine Marlow’s search for himself and the possibilities of a darker side with the audience’s curiosity.
