Today’s date: Poignant remembrance

Victims of Nazism and Stalinism remembered

Today is the European day of remembrance for the many victims who perished due to Nazism and Stalinism.

First held in 2009, the memorial day is held on the date that Germany and the Soviet Union signed the infamous Molotov-Ribbentrop treaty in 1939.
