New Lufthansa strike cancels flights to Denmark

Twenty flights to and from Copenhagen and Billund scrapped

A total of 20 Lufthansa flights arriving to and departing from Denmark have been cancelled today thanks to a strike by the German airline's pilots.

Ten flights between Copenhagen and Frankfurt and two flights between the capital and Munich have been cancelled, as have eight flights between Billund and Frankfurt.

”Despite the strike, the Lufthansa Group will continue to operate the majority of the 3,000 daily scheduled flights, while passengers will be offered flight alternatives via rebooking,” Lufthansa said.

More strikes than baseball
The pilots are stopping work for 24 hours today due to contentions regarding their pension agreement, which Lufthansa wants to change. It's the 12th strike at Lufthansa over the past year.

A Lufthansa strike in late October last year cancelled 27 flights to and from Denmark.
