What if Lee Harvey had aimed Lowe?

Killing Kennedy takes a closer look at one of the many conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of JFK

Much like Kim Kardashian’s rear, Rob Lowe’s jaw is an impressive edifice that was always destined to portray JFK’s cool grin.

National Geographic’s expedition into TV movieland with this well-trodden conspiracy refreshes us again with the bloody tale we are all well acquainted with but, 50 years on, have few answers to.

There was conspiracy fanfare by the truckload in the run-up to the 50th anniversary of the president’s assassination last year, but by also homing in on the killer (Will Rothaar as a convincing Lee Harvey Oswald), the drama makes a good stab at distinguishing itself.

Doesn't quite nail it
Based on a book by obnoxious Fox news presenter Bill O’Reilly, this captures the assassin’s disillusionment with America but doesn’t quite nail it with the president, focusing on his back problems and love of the musical Camelot whilst the political wizard was frying bigger fish like the Cuban Missile Cisis.

Ginnifer Goodwin is oddly cast as Jackie in this mildly received movie that has unique moments but won’t define the genre.

Still, I’m just glad Lowe finally made it as JFK.
