Public buses in central Jutland to cost more

Midttrafik is matching prices with other local transport operators

Fares on Midttrafik buses in central Jutland will rise by 1.9 percent from January 17, reports Metroxpress.

Midttrafik is increasing prices mainly on medium and long-distance links to match the level of other public transport operators.

The increase will also include seasonal tickets and travelcards.

Expensive airport travel card
For instance, a bus between Aarhus and Silkeborg will cost 90 kroner and the price for a two-zone season ticket will increase by 10 kroner to 375 kroner.

A travelcard for buses connecting Aarhus with the airport in nearby Tirstrup will cost 52 kroner more, and the price of a singe cash ticket will increase from 100 to 115 kroner.

Midttrafik operates public buses in 19 municipalities in central Jutland and two local railway lines.
