Pirate Bay founder Gottfrid Svarholm Warg was charged with illegally disrupting public systems, illegally collecting data and destroying property by Frederiksberg City Court last week.
The court decided to hold Warg's Thursday court appearance behind closed doors and hold him on remand until December 18 in deference to the ongoing police investigation against him.
The court feared that there was a risk that he would abscond or attempt to interfere if he were released, and police suspect that Warg has more accomplices who have yet to be apprehended.

Hacked public databases
Warg, 29, is accused of stealing social security numbers from the Danish driving licence database operated by the IT-firm CSC.
He was extradited after being found guilty in Sweden of hacking into the Swedish IT firm Logica, which holds Swedish public databases.
Warg is pleading not guilty to the charges and has argued that his acquittal of hacking into the bank Nordea should have prevented the trial.
