Jewish Culture Festival
The Jewish Community in Denmark have organised next week’s culture festival to give the city a taste of Jewish music, film, art and food. Among the highlights of this year’s festival will be a pre-premiere screening of Agnieszka Holland’s Oscar-nominated film In Darkness, showing on Saturday. Elsewhere, celebrated Danish artist Tal R has designed a limited edition woodcut that will be on display at the festival, and signed prints will be available for purchase. While most events are free of charge, tickets are required for concerts and film-screenings.

BaoBab Festival
Every year since it was created, Malmö’s Baobab Festival has brought together multicultural artists and acts and donated all proceeds to funding and developing Baobab Elementary School in Guinea and humanitarian projects in developing countries. This year, catch various art shows, concerts, workshops and children’s activities, which all culminate with an after-party each night. In particular, don’t miss the Friday kickoff party, with performances from folk-pop band Sister Fay, reggae rockers Ursprunget, and Gambian kora player Dawda Jobarteh and band, among others. Donations of the amount of your choice are required for entry to the festival.

Cph Photo Festival
For the fourth year running, Copenhagen’s public spaces will be filled with work from over 250 Danish and international photographers and 50 exhibitions. Additionally, there will be daily lectures and art walks around the city. This year’s opening event takes place on Thursday at 16:00 at Photo City in Carlsberg Byen.
