On Monday night, the government reached an agreement with the regional and municipal authorities regarding gradually opening up the health services again after the Easter break.
Aspects of the agreement include:
– general practitioners (GPs) will begin seeing more patients from Wednesday onwards. They will assess who requires a hospital visit
– the government encourages citizens to contact their GPs as they would before the coronavirus crisis told hold
– the regional authority will start helping patients who have had their treatments postponed due to the crisis. Patients who are evaluated to require the most immediate assistance are prioritised
– the municipalities are ready to resume rehabilitation treatment, although it won’t be quite the same as before the crisis – for instance, team rehab exercises will not take place yet
– the government will set aside resources dedicated to resuming patient rights that have been suspended due to the crisis
