Business Development Manager

The Job

The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in building SoilSense’s sales infrastructure and strategy from the ground up. This role is ideal for a driven individual who is eager to establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with clients in the agricultural sector, develop strategic sales plans, and drive the adoption of our products to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

– Design and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the agriculture industry.

– Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

– Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.

– Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events and conferences.

– Prepare detailed proposals and presentations that align with client needs and SoilSense’s offerings.

– Negotiate and close deals while managing client expectations and ensuring their satisfaction.

– Coordinate with the rest of the team to develop materials that support sales efforts.

Qualifications

– Track record in sales, preferably within the agriculture, agri-tech, or related industries.

– Strong understanding of the agricultural sector

– Solid communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

– Proficiency in CRM software

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

– Passion for sustainability and agriculture.

– Fluent in at least one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian or French
