Woman found stabbed outside Virum home

Police are investigating a suspected homicide in Copehagen suburb but have yet to establish a motive

A woman was found dead in the garden of her suburban Copenhagen home this morning with multiple stab wounds.

Police were called to the home on Frederiksdalsvej 174 in Virum at 10am after a concerned neighbour discovered the body. The 41-year-old victim’s colleagues quickly realised her absence at work, and contacted the neighbour to check up on her.

“We have sent in our forensics team, and are treating the incident as a homicide,” said Henrik Suhr, a spokeperson for the North Zealand Police. “However, so far we have yet to establish cause, motive or a specific time of death.”

The woman’s identity has yet to be released, but she was reported to have lived in the house with her husband and children.
