Bog & idé

Bog & idé, one of the largest bookstore chains in Denmark, is famous among English-speaking expats for its decent collection of English books. As well as a great range of classics, they stock ebook readers, eAudiobooks and customised gifts including personalised photo calendars, mugs, pillows and invitation cards.

Arnold Busck

As one of the oldest bookstore chains in Denmark, Arnold Busck offers an exhaustive variety of books, including some English classics and fictions. Take advantage of their online book offers, which include free home delivery on purchases of over 500kr. Arnold Busck is also known for its gift selection, console games, and kids products.

Politikens Boghal 

Situated in the city centre, Politikens Boghal has an extensive collection of books. As well as a wide range of English books, the customer-friendly store is probably the best place in town to find both contemporary and newly released titles.

Books & Company 

Situated in the heart of the international community, the bookstore cafe attracts children and adults equally. A great place to pick up books on cookery and travel, and even for the coffee table, travel, Books & Company offers coffee, speciality tea and juices along with free wifi. The store is also well known for its various activities and events including a weekly ‘story-time’ session for toddlers.

Kubera 

Kubera is the only store specialising in Buddhist literature and art in Denmark. The store offers a wide array of English as well as Danish books on Buddhist philosophy and meditation among other things. Apart from the books, the store sells exotic Japanese and Thai incense sticks and exquisite bronze and copper statues of Buddha imported from Thailand. This store is a must-visit for curious minds trying to explore the spiritual aspect of life.
