Victim told police she was imprisoned and raped for six weeks

A 33-year-old man has been charged with allegedly holding a woman as a sex slave in an Amager flat for six weeks in January and February. The woman told police that she was held against her will and raped daily, and that the accused also beat her with his fists and a belt.

Police said that the man locked the woman up inside the flat whenever he was away.

The man pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing held behind closed doors today at a court in Copenhagen.
