It pays to rock like Volbeat

Record year for Danish rockstars

The Danish rock band Volbeat has had its most profitable year ever, according to Ekstra Bladet newspaper.

Its most recent accounts show a profit of 18.4 million kroner for the last year – a marked increase from their 2012 profits of just 1 million kroner.

In April last year, ‘Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies’, the band’s fifth album, reached number 9 in the American Billboard chart, selling 39,000 copies in its first week alone.
