Some 15 SAS planes were grounded yesterday
SAS planes are once again arriving at and departing from Copenhagen Airport as baggage-handlers return to their duties following a brief strike on Thursday evening.
Some 15 SAS planes were grounded yesterday after the SAS baggage-handlers stopped working, leaving the aircraft unable to load and unload the baggage.
“Of course it’s unacceptable,” Trine Kromann-Mikkelsen, the head of communications for SAS, told Metroxpress newspaper. “It’s not fair to SAS and especially our customers.”

Ongoing negotiations
The SAS ground-handlers decided to strike yesterday because the SAS management decided to terminate five local labour agreements, according to the SAS employee union Ekspeditions Arbejdernes Klub.
SAS, on the other hand, stated that the strike occurred because of discussions pertaining to the change of employee work hours.
Those negotiations are set to continue today, according to Kromann-Mikkelsen.
