According to the Spanish police, the man was also reported for a sexual assault in May of this year.
The news comes just days after the man admitted to strangling Jensen, 27, on June 13 in her apartment just days after she arrived in the Spanish capital to start a job.
The police said the man was a caretaker in the building where the young Dane was staying and provided her with keys to the apartment.
An autopsy has shown that Jensen was not raped during the brutal attack.
