Bådteatret lifts anchor for new international comedy festival

Danish comedian Valdemar Pustelnik has loaded the bulk of the Bådteatret boat theatre in Nyhavn with 20 international stand-up acts, who will be performing for an English-speaking audience every night from tomorrow until July 26.

The live shows are all part of Copenhagen's brand new comedy festival 'Boatload of Comedy', which features comedians from Australia, Iceland, Canada, England and Germany among others, performing every day at 6 and 8.30pm.

Going to be rock 'n' roll
"We invited the funniest and most experimental comedians on the international stage," Pustelnik said.

"It's going to be rock 'n' roll, raw emotions and insanity all at the same time. It hasn't been seen in Denmark before."

The comedians this year will be Andrew O'Neill (UK), John Kearns (UK), Christian Schulte-Loh (GER), Ari Eldjárn (ICE), Paul Currie (NIR), Ro Campbell (AUS), Paul Myrehaug (CA), Bec Hill (AUS), Bob Slayer (UK), Liam Williams (UK), Thom Tuck (UK), Ben Crellin (NZ), Karl Schultz (UK), David Deery (US), Tim FitzHigham (UK) and Valdemar Pustelnik (DK).

Tickets are on sale at Billetnet.dk for 95 kroner.
