The up-and-coming chocolatier, Peter Svenningsen, shocked the chocolate world as he beat the competition favourites and won three gold and three silver awards at the Scandinavian regionals of the International Chocolate Awards.
“I am very surprised by the result, but also very proud that my chocolates were so well-received," Svenningsen said to RavenPR.
“I dived completely in and wouldn’t allow any compromise on my chocolates. Either I would completely fail or end at the top.”
Chocolate based on water
Svenningsen is one of a few in the world who make chocolates based on water. Other chocolatiers commonly use butter and cream.
Also, his fillings are based on fresh, local produce, which he collects in the nearby countryside.
Svenningsen will have the opportunity to repeat his success at the World Cup in London later this year.
