Forceful Freddy took total control in 1660
On 13 October 1660, King Frederik III made Denmark into an absolute monarchy.
This meant he had unlimited power over the subjects of Denmark and could rule without a government.
He imposed taxes and began military service using his power after gaining it through a coup.
