Diplomacy and royalty in the company of their excellencies and her majesty

The ambassadors were out in full force last week on Tuesday for the queen’s reception for the diplomatic corps at Christiansborg Palace. In total, there were 80 heads of mission invited and the attendance record was well over 90 percent


The heads of mission lined three walls of the palace’s Knights’ Hall waiting to be introduced to the queen

Among the members of the diplomatic corps not often seen in Copenhagen circles, often because they are based in one of the other Scandinavian capitals or new or relatively to the job, were Portuguese ambassador Rui Macieira,
