Stars queuing up to take part in new ‘Klovn’ film

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine and actors Isla Fisher and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau joining the cast of ‘Klovn Forever’

Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam’s new film ‘Klovn Forever’ will feature several well-known faces from the world of show business.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine had already been rumoured for a role in the sequel to 2010 film ‘Klovn: The Movie’ (released as ‘Klown’ in the US), and now entertainment magazine Variety claims that Australian actress Isla Fisher, the wife of Sacha Baron Cohen, and Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from ‘Game of Thrones’ are also in the cast.

Isla Fisher is best known for her roles in films like the ‘Wedding Crashers’, ‘Now you see me’ and ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’.

Casper goes to Hollywood
Variety also revealed a bit of the plot of the new film in which Frank and Casper’s friendship is tested because Casper decides to travel to Los Angeles to try his hand at a solo career. Frank follows Casper to Hollywood to try to bring him back.

The international distribution company Protagonist Pictures has acquired the distribution rights to the new  Klovn film and the original from 2010.

“We are proud to be a part of the ‘Klovn universe’,” Protagonist chief executive Mike Goodridge told Variety. “The first Klovn movie is without a doubt the most amusing movie I’ve ever seen.”

‘Klovn Forever’ will premiere in Denmark in September. Christensen and Hvam will be at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival drumming up publicity for the new film.
